Blizzard Entertainment, a name many of us may never have heard of, but it is the name of the makers behind one of the most sought-after games of all times, yes we are talking Diablo. And the best in the series is yet to come. Diablo 3 began its development way back in 2008 itself and the official release in 2011 is yet to be decided.
Continued into the dark world of Sanctuary, Diablo 3 is the continuation of the previous title, the new-age heroes are up against the forces of evil to save the world of sanctuary. Although built on a similar storyline as its predecessor, Diablo 3 does have a lot of elements which makes it one of the most anticipated games in the market. Moreover the producers of the game are showing a positive outlook saying that the new title is believed to have a promising impact on the market.
With in-game engine, coming as a difference to the new launch will provide a much stable platform for better performance of the game. Moreover making the use of its own 3D engine, Diablo 3 claims to be doing away with the use of DirectX 10. Developing onto Diablo 2, the multiplayer platform looks much promising with Blizzard’s Battle.net and this version allows much more freedom to users in a multi-player game even when they don’t host it themselves. Newer features like the random level and quest generator adds a thrill element to the game. Most of the character and sidekicks in the previous version are seen to be present in Diablo 3 along with a few additions.
Among all the new features that are added to the game, one called the Skill Runs allows the player to pick up skills from monsters after defeating them. Planned to be released on both MAC and Windows platforms, the game plans to hit all major platforms like PS3, Xbox, and a lot more. Although the game tends to have the same impressive look in its gameplay, but minor adjustments make the details come alive.
Blizzard revealed that online cooperative gameplay is one of the best developments in Diablo 3, the modern outlook into multiplayer gaming and the kind of player freedom that the environment provides is claimed to bring a change to the game multiplying scenario. Although total number of people in the cooperative gameplay hasn’t yet been revealed, the multiplayer promises to change the engine behind Battle.net architecture. And this is something that the officials are yet to describe.
From hard core gamers to amateurs, Blizzard’s dev. say the game is fit to all kinds of players alike. Regarding the ratings, there although is mild violence and unearthly characters, but the developers expect the game is mild enough for most kind of audience. Blizzard has come a long way since the launch of Diablo, the first. And the fans as well as critics alike are awaiting this game eagerly. Diablo 3 seriously is one game that one must look out for. It seriously is expected to pick up numbers, and if not up to expectations, at least be sure to get a good gameplay for sure..!
